Meet Dr. Ana Smith, DVM
Dr. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Arkansas Tech University in 2007. She then went on to pursue her DVM license from Oklahoma State University, graduating in 2013. She then spent eight years as a surgeon and resident veterinarian at two veterinary clinics in the area, spending 4 years at each. She joined our shelter family in October 2021 and has been one of our Cooper Clinic veterinarians since the clinic opened in April 2022!

Meet Dr. Jesse Blades, DVM
Dr. Blades graduated with his DVM license from the University of Missouri in 2010. He performed relief veterinary work in the Springfield area from 2010-2015 and then worked for the USDA from 2015-2025. He joined our shelter family in August 2025 and we are thrilled to have him on board!
