Over the years, thousands of homeless dogs and cats have found refuge at the Humane Society, where great effort was made to find them new families. Still today, we receive no monetary help from federal, state, or local government agencies, nor do we receive funds from other humane societies. We can only save lives with your help! You can help give animals a second chance at a permanent home by making a donation. All donations will be used to provide shelter, food, and medical care for the thousands of animals that enter our shelter each year. Thank you for your gift!
ONE TIME ONLY OR MONTHLY DONATIONS: All donations will be used to provide shelter, food, and medical care for the thousands of animals that enter our shelter each year.
IN MEMORY/HONOR: Gifts made in memory or honor of a loved one is a beautiful way to celebrate the bond you share. Your gift creates a lasting legacy of kindness, helping shelter animals find safety, healing, and hope. Whether you are honoring someone special or remembering a loved one who has passed, your donation carries their spirit forward - bringing comfort, compassion, and second chances to countless pets in need.
MEDICAL FUND: The Medical Fund is used to care for animals that are in a state of emergency. These animals are often malnourished, injured from being hit by cars, or come from severe living situations. Donations help us provide care for animals that have unforeseen medical expenses.
SPAY/NEUTER SPONSORSHIP: Donate all or part of the cost of the low-cost spay/neuter certificate for the pet of a deserving low-income family. (Certificate cost: $75 - $150)
KENNEL SPONSORSHIP: A sponsorship provides individuals, families, private organizations, and businesses with a great opportunity to directly support the animals we rescue. You can “adopt” a small or large kennel to help EVERY animal staying in your kennel for one year and help us ensure that each animal rescued at HSSWMO receives the shelter, nourishment, and medical care they need so much. We are open 7 days a week, 363 days a year. On average, 75+ individuals visit our shelter daily, 2,250+ monthly, and 27,000+ yearly, so it’s also a great way for local businesses to let the public see your business’ logo and know that your company helps animals in need.
