VOLUNTEERS

The Southwest Missouri Humane Society encourages everyone who loves animals to contact us about volunteer opportunities. If you have an interest, skill, or talent, we have a way that you can help our organization. All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Here is a list of some of the many opportunities available.

  • Escort people to see adoptable animals
  • Walk dogs and play with cats
  • Bathe, brush and groom animals
  • Visit with animals and pass out treats
  • Wash dishes and laundry
  • Assist with office tasks
  • Photograph animals
  • Prepare marketing and event materials
  • Landscape common areas
  • Participate in events
  • Sponsor an animal awaiting adoption
  • Sponsor an event
