Cleans and maintains kennel area of the shelter, in such a manner as to provide an odor free and low stress environment for the animals.
Feeds and provides daily care for all animals.
Handles and controls animals. This includes difficult to handle and potentially dangerous animals.
Reports to the Shelter Operations Manager or Veterinarian any potential health or behavioral problems involving the animals.
Maintains records of animals.
Light cleaning of offices, emptying trash, mopping of floors and cleaning of restrooms.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: SUMMARY: The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri (HSSWMO) is the leading Southern Missouri open admission, No-Kill shelter and is committed to saving adoptable dogs and cats. We are seeking a Volunteer/Event Coordinator with a passion for animal welfare and the ability to manage all aspects of our Volunteer/Event Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The person in this position is responsible for the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers, maintenance of records in our volunteer database, communication and coordination of volunteer activity at HSSWMO and at off-site events. This position will also be responsible for helping with event planning and community outreaches.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office.

BOOKKEEPER: JOB SUMMARY:The Bookkeeper is responsible for the preparation of reports data entry, personnel duties, financial duties and general administrative and office duties. The Bookkeeper may also provide administrative support to other departments.
Quickbooks experience is required.
Enter all expenses and revenue into QuickBooks. Maintain accurate accounting data and coordinate with accounting firm. AR, AP
Reconcile bank accounts
Record day to day financial transactions
Donor Deposits, Reconcile daily cash drawers and deposit.
Create bank deposits and match reports
Enter donor information into donor database, provide reports as needed.
Office supply and shelter supply procurement
Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence
Assist in order and purchasing for office and shelter supplies
Perform other duties as required/requested to insure a positive public image, the well-being of animals, and to improve the functioning of this organization
Ensure that required knowledge is met and maintained:

REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. High school Diploma 2. Proven ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive written reports 3. Ability to effectively use word processing and spreadsheet software programs, including Excel 6. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments 7.
